I'm Dan. I practice workers' compensation law in Minneapolis, and a professional habit comes with that: before I rely on anyone, I check the license and I check the record. When your insurance renewal jumps 30 percent, or a non-renewal notice lands, the records that explain it exist: the rate filing your carrier submitted to the state, its complaint record at the NAIC, and every enforcement action the Department of Commerce has published. They are just scattered across systems nobody has heard of.

MN Insurance Buddy puts those public records one search away: the rate-increase tracker built on Minnesota's public filing record, the NAIC complaint index explained in plain English, and Commerce enforcement actions with the Department's own order documents linked. Where the state publishes no bulk data (the producer license roster and filing summaries), we have Minnesota Government Data Practices Act requests drafted, and we say plainly what we have and what we are still waiting on.

Three commitments. First, lookups here are anonymous: we never store what you search or who you check, period. Second, every fact cites a named public source with the date we last checked it; when our copy and the government's page disagree, the government's page controls. Third, the record is never for sale: no one can pay to change, hide, or polish what their public record shows here.
